About the Role

DLi has an active casual pool of Community Support Workers who pick up shifts across our Supported Independent Living homes within the Adelaide metropolitan area.

As a SIL Support Worker, you will provide person‑centred support to adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities, high medical needs, mental health diagnoses, or behavioural complexities. You’ll work collaboratively with clients, tailoring your approach to their individual needs and goals.

 

You will:

  • Build rapport quickly and communicate clearly
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation
  • Support clients with daily living, personal care, medication, and household tasks
  • Work confidently with clients requiring high‑level or complex support

Your Availability
We offer casual shifts across a 7‑day roster, including:

  • Active and passive sleepover shifts
  • Day and evening SIL shifts

This is a casual position, with shifts offered on an as‑needs basis across Adelaide Metro.

 

Role Requirements

  • Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Disability, Individual Support, Nursing or equivalent
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Manual Handling certificate
  • Medication Administration, Infection Control and Mealtime Management certificates (or willingness to obtain)
  • Full Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Evidence of right to work in Australia
  • CPI training – highly desirable
  • Safe Environments for Children and Young People – highly desirable
  • Epilepsy training – highly desirable
  • Ability and willingness to use own vehicle to transport clients
