Your Experience You will bring a person-centred approach, placing the person at the centre of their service. You will work collaboratively, tailoring your approach to the needs of the individual. You will quickly establish rapport with clients and their families and have clear and effective communication skills. You will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy in case notes and record-keeping. You will be comfortable supporting adult clients with intellectual/physical disabilities, high medical needs, mental health diagnosed or high behavioural concerns. Special requirements These roles require female Support Workers who can assist our clients located mainly in the western suburbs of Adelaide. You MUST be available to work passive overnight shifts and daytime shifts. It is important that you have Epilepsy training, as well as Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI) for this role. You will have a current Drivers Licence recognised in Australia and be willing to use your own car to transport clients during supports. Your Availability You MUST be available to work passive sleepover shifts attached to afternoon and/or morning shifts. What's in it for you? Recruitment Process - Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a phone interview and then, if successful, to a face to face interview.
Role Requirements - A minimum Certificate III in Disability or equivalent
- Current NDIS Worker Screening
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid and CPR
- Manual Handling certificate
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- Medication Administration Certificate, Infection Control Certificates will be highly preferred and if not, willingness to obtain these will be required.
- Mealtime Management/ Dysphagia training
- Epilepsy and Midazolam administration training
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training
- A full Australian Driver’s Licence
- Ability and willingness to drive and use pool vehicle or own vehicle
- Experience in Mental Health or Trauma related support will be highly regarded
